Hey guys, recently I bought a large amount of BeeSPutty to give it a try, and I thought I might start with one of Mike's scetches of one of the beasties. So here you go: The base sculpt: And already with some of the details added: (tusks are missing again, they get added after baking and pinned extra) I'm not sure about the vain on his inner forearm, so guys, what do you think? and general ideas of improvement of course. And Mike, we need a name and final home for him cheers

Looking good - you're certainly not going easy on yourself as a trial of a new material with a beast that size! Great results.

Whoa, thats a big lady Lovely work Slann...looks kinda toadish so fits with your forum name. I don't think she really needs the vein on the forearm but its certainly not going to ruin her. A bit of smoothing and she's done I'd say. Any thoughts on the colours you'd pick when you come to paint her up?

Thx guys A lot of more work was done already, smoothing and otger details. As for painting, I now really think about casting that beast, so multiple schemes should be good

It's great fun to see a random little creature sketch brought to life so well Glad to hear it might get cast up. I do think it deserves a couple sempa to keep it company on the riverbanks!

Yup, I'm pretty sure I'll do casts one I'm finished Now I'm giving him a little break and go back to painting my commission stuff. As I'm pretty excited about the new deathwatch, I could use some extra coins

Very nice. I like the tusks, the feet, and the positioning of the eyes so they see to the side and straight ahead. Well done.
Tail is a bit too massive, I think. I would make it thinner and taper instead of spread out.
However, job well done, man!

That's a great sculpt you made Slann, it certainly fits in the world. I have to agree with Erik on the tail though, it might look better if it were smaller.

As it looks like Mike's heading in a watery direction with some of the upcoming Twilight releases maybe it's time to get this 'little' guy finished and cast up We could all do with a scary river-dwelling beast to encounter in scenarios...
