Thanks guys. The Yirnak will certainly be protected - after Salute I'll have another 4 Skerrat and 2 more Trappers, putting me at 9 and 4 respectively.. They should be good.

Also, managed to finish this guy -

Both of them -

So, just 2 Devanu and a load of sculpting (Wink) to go. So very close.

Wow thats allot of Knights ( P-9 ) , I much prefer the winter motif than the green but then i guess you are getting much better at painting all the time.

If you ever need some one to play against give me a shout !

Cheers guys. I do like the winter bases, but I started the Fubarnii with normal greenery, so figure I may as well have them match.

This is the final painting update before Salute, the 2 Devanu Jenta!

A group shot of all 800 points of Devanu -

With each Devanu I've painted them lighter and lighter, and used gentler shading in order to get closer to the official models. I may still tone the newest 3 Jenta down slightly, as well as re-doing the original Devanu's flesh, but that's for another year, heh.

That's 45 models painted since the 13th - not bad for a week!

It was good to see some of my units used on the bring and play table - not quite as nice to see my poor defenseless Grishak get butchered, but ah well.

At any rate, as mentioned to Mike and in another thread, I quite liked the scheme of his priests in green, so I've quickly changed an Acolyte to the same, but with red. I reckon it works quite well. Not sure if Purple would work - probably not, unless all the robes were purple and the hoods bone/white, but that'd be somewhat against the norm.

In a day or two I'll have pictures of what I was sculpting up - some of you may recognize it. I'll be taking a short break from it before refining it. It'll be good to have a break from it.

Having seen them in person, I'm still arguing your description of speed painting, the red on this being a point of note. Very nice!

Oh, and I'll put it in writing here too - very nice work on the sculpting too. For a first shot it was amazing to me at least.

That looks good! Amazed you are managing anything at all this evening...
Steve's Delgon have purple cowls, and that works well.
I'm also impressed with the sculpting - you should share pics here!

Thanks again for all the figures today - they were amazingly useful! As well as looking rather good.

It's definitely speed painting. Wink Cheers though on the red, tried to copy yours. Not as much depth, but I only had a devlan mud wash to hand.

I've not seen any pics of purple cowled Delgon, are they around anywhere?

As for the comments about the sculpting, thank you both! Someone of a motivation boost to hear that, as when I get near finishing something it rapidly becomes frustrating.

Since the camera is still out, here -

Bo blutack for the rider unfortunately, but for those who've followed the Clan background logs, yes - it's a Graku'kan from Clan Orel'an!

I need to refine the back thighs and forelegs, adding more muscle definition, as well as reshape the crest slightly so it goes further back, and is a smooth curve at the front rather than the slight bump it had currently. I'll also add a bit more baggage as per Mike's suggestion, and I'll be trying to reduce undercuts, for general practice. There are one or two understadably around the knees that'd wreck a mould I reckon.

For those of you with sharp eyes, yes, the back end is a slightly trimmed down and re-bulked up Grishak Kopa. Such a useful model!

Looking good Geckilian; a fearsome beast.

Moulds? So how many of this guy are you planning on casting?

Thanks HN. As far as I know he's not getting definitely cast - avoiding undercuts is mainly practice for me should I make anything destined for casting really. Of course this guy could end up popular, no idea really.
