Thanks for all the warm welcomes! It's fun just reading about this new world, and realising that it needs more than a cursory glance before slotting it into an already existing game. I can't wait until I'm confident enough to start writing backgrounds for my figures, what tribes or villagers they are from, and such like that.
I do like a bit of mistaken tragedy, so I'm thinking my Devanu tribe was one lead by a more forward thinking leader, who was becoming weary of the loss of her jenta over the years of conflict, decide to form an uneasy alliance with one of the more distant Fubarnii villages. They would bring the results of their hunts on the wild herd animals, trading the skins and meat for tools, maybe even bringing carcasses to the Fubarnii, allowing them to keep a portion, while the rest was cured/smoked, so they could survive through harsher times. This system worked well for years, until a reckless trader, treading a previously closed trade path with his knight escort in tow, came across the the Devanu leader's Jenta, returning from a successful trade. With a cry, the knights ran down and slaughtered the youngling, who didn't even fight back in the confusion. The villagers, fearing retribution of the now present Empire, now lied about how they had been plagued for years upon years of raids and attacks. During this, the leader of the Devanu tribe came across her jenta's corpse, and vowed to gain revenge for this betrayal. In her mind, all thoughts of the peace, and the prosperity that it garnered was burned away, with just one desire left, to raze that village to the ground, and feast on the meat of the Furbarnii within.

Loving the idea. Don't know if you've seen the map yet, any thoughts for where the village is?

They would have to be isolated, in an area that has become too dangerous to travel without a large knight contingent, or if they want to risk their lives for trade.
I know the forest is uninhabitable for Fubarnii, so I was looking maybe towards the mountains, maybe East of Sonreh, North of Major Anis. Not sure if that's a good position or not, it's very close to the mountains, which could mean delgon influence?

Ah I think its Donreh. Major Anis has been reserved by Milke for the future and as far as the Fubarnii there know, they are not a part of the mainland...I think. I'd have thought that a village east of Donreh in the shadow of the mountains could work well. Placing them there could result in both Dhogu & Delgon influence.

It's cold up there, and the Devanu much less numerous. Don't let that stop you though! I just might relocate it some time in the future...

It's your world, where would you put a village that has only just regained contact with the empire after so long, that would have had to survive, and thus ally with the Devanu?

Probably somewhere around the argoran wastes. You get strange folks around those parts.
