Looks good Geckilian. I like the soft look to the painting.

An interesting collection of minis there. As always the paint jobs are solid sir, good job. I'm loving the creepy lass with red eyes HN

really good stuff all round. Some of the pieces, such as the guy with the stubble / shaved head effect and the one with the glowing eyes are very nice indeed. You sure can throw paint!

Cheers everyone! Painted this one up yesterday as a distraction from a load of World of Twilight minis. I don't often paint yellow, so experimented a bit and tried out the new yellow wash from GW. The wash looked slightly green in the recesses before it dried, but it turned out quite nice afterwards. Otherworld, with a Fenris base.

Finished painting this Dwarf Slayer today as well, part of a mini slayer project I'm working on for fun. May need to add another highlight to the blue beard, as the flash seems to have dulled it slightly.

The Blue beard is cool but the drunken dwarf is definitely my favourite. What route did you go to achieve the effect? Glazes or seperate highlights tot he rest of the skin?

I did about 8 to 10 very thin glaze layers with the (now oop) Baal Red wash from GW. It was basically just loading up the brush then touching it to tissue so only pigment remained, then just drawing the brush along enough times to get the colour to start showing. The flesh underneath was highlighted normally like the rest.
Sounds almost like a quicker version of the whole zenithal deal.
