Title: Lesser Kossok
Post by: NickH on April 30, 2014, 10:42:27 am
When I met Mike at Salute he very generously gave me a few of the new Frenu models to use as Lesser Kossok who will function like skirmishing archers in my big-battle rules.

These wires you put them on are a great idea. Did you drill holes in the washer to put them into place? They all seem to point to the center of the washer. So I suppose you put something in there (there is also a bump in the sand in the middle)
I love the colour scheme on them.
Great job!

Thanks Kryptovidicus.
The light coloured stuff on top of the washer is a piece of cork tile, the carbon fibre rods go through this into the hole in the washer. The sand layer is quite thin so that the colour underneath (I painted the cork naples yellow) shows through, I've tried using thick sand in the past but it just looks dark and uninteresting.

Fun to see a swarm of frenu (even if they are serving as mini kosok)!
Looking excellent again. You could maybe take a shot with some other models to give a better sense of scale?

They look great, wouldn't like to be swarmed by them though ;)
