Title: Danakan & Muri
Post by: Lost Egg on September 01, 2013, 09:17:41 pm
Hi all,

I've finally managed to get my arse in gear and take a pic of my diorama; I finished it a couple of weeks after the painting competition ended...doh!
(http://i1074.photobucket.com/albums/w418/Lost-Egg/World%20of%20Twilight/DanakanampMuri_zps494a2491.jpg) (http://s1074.photobucket.com/user/Lost-Egg/media/World%20of%20Twilight/DanakanampMuri_zps494a2491.jpg.html)

With Danakan I decided to use green to echo the lush valley of Teral and red for the local mountain range (I think that was the plan...its been a while). These colours were then echoed on Muri, I kinda figured she picked up Danakan's hand-me-downs. I think Danakan and the other nobles of her clan would not only shun the idea of fishing, thats for the low born, and rather focus more on the lush greenery around their city. The only blue she has is her staff, which was given to her as an insult.

Yes - it is looking good.
What is the sign made from?

Thanks Serin :) It's made from plasticard and a GW flight base, one of the ones with a bobble on the top.

I love the cohesive colour schemes and that staff topper on Danakan is really eye-catching. Can you talk about the paints you used for it?

Cheers Sir!

Err I think it was Hawk Turquoise & a little Chaos Black, then Hawk Turquoise followed by adding small amounts of Skull White to build it up. I also gave it a coat or two of gloss varnish to make it ting :D
