Are you going to Salute this year.

I don't know any details, other than I've been asked to help on the game table and bring my models along for the day, so I can at least answer a basic "yes", unless I'm being set up, WoT will certainly be there ;)

Certainly! Turn left as soon as you walk in the door and you will find us  :)
This time of year is always a bit of a blue as I try to get far too much done in time for the show!

Current plans include
'Spring is coming' - the participation game board is getting a bit of a face lift
A new Twilight Traveller and a printed catalogue (hopefully)
The falconer and the herder queen will be available in resin
The big release will be the frenu! I've managed to get all the models cast in resin. Ks backers will get their forces first, but I can't wait to get them released at the show! :)

Unfortunately not, my wife would kill me if I went ;).
I would have liked to go though and meet you guys and gals.
Another time perhaps, ...

It would have been a good opportunity for you to catch up with some sleep!  ;)

I'm going.

Congrats on getting the Frenu cast up Mike. Let me know if you'd like any help with the Traveller :D

I'll be there - I've got to spend my newly earned Twilight points somehow...
Plus if there's a participation game then maybe I'll actually get play my first game there!

:D Very true, ... but still, I don't think the missus will approve.

Unfortunately can't make it to Salute for various reasons, will the resin Frenu be available after the show?

It's a shame you can't make it. Maybe next year!
Everything that's available at salute will be available by mail order, with all the same deals etc. You will certainly be able to get hold of the frenu :)

Everything's painted for the games!

I'm going to have my entire painted collection  with me too, so if we're not to busy and any forum regulars want to try out a certain unit on the table, I have most options covered Barr a trade caravan, frenu, or a couple of characters on the day :)

I'm so tempted to abandon the scenario and do Roban vs Dehran vs arak katan and see who gets the most bugs.....  :P

That sounds like an interesting game Paul, no doubt there will be bets :D.
Mine's on one of the Enarii, although Arak Katain is probably the fastest.

Have fun guys!
Can't wait to see the pictures.

We've arrived and are almost set up... Looking forward to tomorrow's chaos!
Well done with the final painting Paul! Looking forward to seeing your minis on the table :)

Don't forget to take some pictures of the stand and games people, those of us not able to attend would like a peak :)

I kinda want to see that now!
I'll try to take plenty of photos during the day! They'll go up on Facebook initially, but I'll try to do a summary here later.
Looking forward to the chaos beginning in a few of hours!

Well, I'm glad beasts of war got some coverage up ( they were both pretty enamoured with it all when I spoke to them!) because I totally failed in that respect.

I for one took a photo before it all started, and then didn't get another chance to get the camera out for the rest of the day! Can only be a good thing though - games were rolling non stop, with a fair variety of forces. We ran 5 or 6 full games on the main in the day, each with 3 or more players (I had 6 forces out for people to choose from), and mike ran another 3 solo demo games on the mini-table on the trade stand.

Good to see so much getting played and to meet some faces, old and new, from the forums. Great day! From my perspective, Thanks especially to Ben who was helping me (aka doing most of the work) on the main table.

Now I have even more stuff to paint.... :D

Sounds like you guys and gals had a lot of fun!
Happy to hear World of Twilight got so much attention.
I hope a lot of people make it here.

It was a great day! We barely had a minutes peace all day with so many people dropping by. There were lots of new people who found the stand as well, so fingers crossed a few of them will make it here!
As usual, feeling thoroughly inspired to try get back to sculpting now, just got to figure out where to start...

Do some Casanii! A chieftain or herder would be a great start.  :)

What we all need is more pagefourus. Or Cassani. Cassani are good!

Title: Re: Salute 2015
Post by: Kryptovidicus on April 26, 2015, 08:05:16 pm
What's a pagefourus?

Title: Re: Salute 2015
Post by: TuffSkull on April 26, 2015, 09:01:06 pm
Sorry, didn't mean to be cryptic!

It's the smallest of the critters mikes made to date - the squirrel / parakeet cross.  I believe by chance, It keeps appearing on page four of books and travellers, so has earned the name pag-e-fourus. I might have fallen for the little guys, and have come back from the show with a small herd  ;D

Title: Re: Salute 2015
Post by: Halcyon on April 26, 2015, 10:24:53 pm
If they are related to parrots, shouldn't that be a small pandemonium of pagefourus.  ;)

Title: Re: Salute 2015
Post by: Carcharoth on April 26, 2015, 10:49:40 pm
The pagefourus was named by warren due to it's location in the first book - it might have been in jest, but the name has stuck! When I was finishing off the chronicles Jules told me off for moving it, so it was moved back to its rightful home on the fourth page...
A pandemonium of pagefourus does sound good :)

I think I may have to try and start some Casanii. They do scare me a bit, but I might just have to bite the bullet :)

nice to hear things went well. the bug hunt looked like a fun scenario and it sounds like it was a very successful day. it'll be cool to see what you've got in mind for the Casanii.   :)

Title: Re: Salute 2015

Haha, so the critter has a name  :D.

If I remember well, there is also a Pagefourus on the base of Arak Katain's Kosok.
They probably are at the bottom of the foodchain :).

What are you going to do with a whole herd of these Paul?
They may make a nice objective or terrain piece (or basefiller) but I think that's about it, right?

Go for the Casanii! I think many of us are waiting for these (no pressure  ;D).

I haven't quite decided yet, truth be told, I just really like the model. I might do part of my frenu as - counts as force, substituting in the pagefourus in singles and swarms (pandemoniums!), but mostly they're just really quick little dudes to paint with leftovers and in spare moments :)

A really tiring day, last saturday, but also an excellent one !
So many things to see, and so few time.
I have of course picked up a plenty bag of twilight minis and goodies :)
Since yesterday I prepare and glue these little guys and after that it will be time to paint !  :o
The cards are stunning.

My only regret was not picking up more stuff at the show itself. :P

Is there a plan to put up Traveller #6 as a PDF, or are you moving to print for the future?

Easily fixed  :)

I'll pop it up online, probably as two separate files. It's nice to have a copy in print, but it was a lot of work!
What do you all think? Was it good to have a physical copy of the Traveller? Were you happy to pay for it?

Thank you! Great to make the connection between your face and your forum name. I'm sure I've seen you at previous shows as well, but hadn't made the connection  :-[
I'm very glad you like the cards  :)

The collector in me certainly wouldn't mind paying for a printed version of the traveller.
You could of course also do a PDF and a printed bundle of the travellers released during the year.
