The World Of Twilight

I am planning to arrange another Twilight day at some point over the summer. There's a good venue in Guildford, so it's mainly a case of choosing a date.
I'm going to start trying to work out a good date, but in the meantime please let me know if you might be interested!

Interested yes, but unlikely to be able to get there :(.
Maybe I should convince my wife to move to the UK, somewhere near Guildford ;).

2 hour drive from us so possible but depends which day of the week it was. Sunday's are best!

sounds like a good time, but a bit of a stretch for me being in the USA...... but with more reasons being added to the list to visit the UK the odds are tipping that i'll make a trip one day.   :D

Those of you who are nearby, would you be around on the 30th August (that's the Sunday of the bank holiday weekend)? I'm currently trying to sort out the venue and that date is a possibility.

Now I just need to work out a plan for the day and see what miniatures and scenery I can get done in time! I've got a few casanii very close to completion so there's the dilemma whether to rush them to the casters (and hope they are back in time), or keep hold of them so you can get a look at what I've been up to... At a minimum I should have the new resin creatures to show you! ;D

I've got a good idea what I'm planning, but i'd be interested to hear what sort of things you would like to see there.

Registration is now open for the twilight day! It is on the 30th August in Guildford and will be £10 for the day (which will hopefully allow me to do some cool prizes and goody bags - the first batch of new Casanii sculpts have gone off to the casters, so they may feature. As well as the new resin beasties). There will be a painting prize for my favourite model as well as a prize draw for everybody who brings along at least one painted 300pt force and a prize draw if you bring some painted scenery with you.
I think I'll also do a little prize draw for each of the different cultures (and subcultures) to encourage diversity!

I assume you'll have stuff for us to buy on the day, I'm feeling the need for some new models!  ;D

I won't have stuff to sell on the day (I'm going to be focused on the games rather than selling stuff!). However, you can order stuff in advance and I'll bring it along  :)
I've sent an email out to everybody who has registered with details.

Mikes not bringing stock to the day - it's purely a gaming event. However, if you want to order things for collection, you can do that, and there's some new stuff available too. An email went out yesterday to all who are registered for the event.

Apparently I accidently included some previews in the background on my latest thread in the engineers section..... Whoops and all that....   ::) *ducks to avoid sniper shot from michael...*

Just thought I'd say cheers for putting on the Twilight Day. It was good to get a few games in and meet a few of the forum personalities, I had an enjoyable day and it was well worth the drive. Great to see my figures on the table battling it out at last!

Indeed, superb day. Thanks to mike, and to he GGC chairman, Eddie for sorting the venue and lots of work with tables etc before and after.

Was great to see everybody's models in person, and the terrain was a real unexpected treat.

Do we have to wait a whole year before we do it again??    :-\

It would be fun to do another event... Maybe next time Eddie and I might both be a bit healthier!
