Title: Your Favourite model? Post by: Megatron0 on May 16, 2011, 08:14:23 pm So I got my Trader caravan today and I must say The Baruks are some of the most beautiful models I have seen. Oozing character from their faces to all the items they are carrying. These are my Favourite models of the range and I wanted to know what other peoples favs are?
*******EDIT****** Do i see some fish on the Baruk Kopa? I guess that solves the mystery as to whether there was fish in the Twilight world :D and it fits better with the Enipel clan! yay! Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Lord Fubarnii on May 16, 2011, 10:06:14 pm does any body have a pic of the baruk kopa? i think the roban model is pretty sweet that and the strider
Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Carcharoth on May 16, 2011, 10:09:47 pm There are some painted pics of the baruk here (http://www.worldoftwilight.com/forum/index.php?topic=293.0). Glad you like them :)
Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Geckilian on May 16, 2011, 10:15:50 pm Hmm, I'd say my favourite figure is the Strider. To top that would require some form of Balog-Strider or maybe even an oversized Graku with some form of Knightly rider....
Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Lost Egg on May 16, 2011, 10:25:07 pm Hmm...I think I'd have to agree with the Strider, very cool.

Hint Hint ;D Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Brandlin on May 17, 2011, 02:33:25 am Striders.
Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Jubal on May 17, 2011, 10:10:24 am Brandlin said WHAT? :o
:P For me, it's the original Beru the engineer. That was the model that really got me interested, he just exudes Fubarniiness. :) Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Brandlin on May 17, 2011, 12:30:28 pm Striders. just checking you were all paying attention. It has to be the basic fubarnii empire knight for me. clearly distinguishable as cavalry to a wargamer and yet utterly different, quirky and yet believable. The knight IS the defining image of twilight for me. Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Lost Egg on May 17, 2011, 03:38:53 pm Striders. just checking you were all paying attention. The knight IS the defining image of twilight for me. Ooo good call Brandlin...now I'm torn. HN Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Megatron0 on May 17, 2011, 04:27:06 pm I can understand why a lot of people like the knights but they dont really do anything for me, ( I guess that shows how Enipel I am ;D ) though i do really like them on the artwork! also Im surprised there is a lot of strider love in which case I'll throw my hat in for Roban the Hunter as well! ooo but I really love that Laden Belan! but that needs a model *hint hint*
No Devanu? I adore the Kopa! its really nicely posed and it looks menacing >: ) Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Lost Egg on May 17, 2011, 04:36:03 pm OK so Knights for the Fubarnii, Strider for the Delgon and the Kopa for the Devanu...but the Dhogu do look very cool.
HN Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Megatron0 on May 17, 2011, 05:22:58 pm I really want to see the finished product before I make my mind up. They are looking good so far though!
Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Klute on May 17, 2011, 08:20:56 pm I would like to nominate any figure of mine........... :-[
Come on guys, spread the love here :'( :'( :'( ;D On a serious note I really do like the aged engineer. I think that one is the most "Froudian" in looks. Im hoping to get some of that in the noble Ive started. Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Megatron0 on May 17, 2011, 08:54:00 pm Which ones are yours?
Oh and I will take 3/4 nobles when they are done! The merchant court needs members! Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Klute on May 18, 2011, 09:21:55 am Mine are erm....basically all the herder range. Slingers, herder light cavalry, slinger captain, fubarnii hunter, skirrat, graku. I have the 2 original slingers reworked with fixed right arms and left arm sockets to fit the loose arms from the other figures. That will give a few options to play with for foot troops so the herders dont just have slingers on foot.
I really must get them photographed and sent to Mike :( Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Brandlin on May 18, 2011, 09:38:02 am I hadn't realised quite how much your own contribution had grown klutz -well done,
Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Megatron0 on May 18, 2011, 01:30:53 pm Ahh well herders are on my list for my trade caravan :D
Fubarnii hunter? :O Is there a picture of that? Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Carcharoth on May 18, 2011, 01:47:29 pm I really must get them photographed and sent to Mike :( Yup ;D It is great that Mark's sculpts fit so neatly into the range - he's doing a great job expanding into areas that would have otherwise been neglected. The little beasties are particularly good (even if the skerrat was meant to be a scary devanu hunting beast before it turned out so cute... :) ) and the new Fubarnii are great. Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Jubal on May 18, 2011, 02:28:45 pm The graku is my favourite of WoT's non-sentient beasties, I have to say. Love the lil' guys.
Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Klute on May 18, 2011, 03:08:04 pm Thats more like it lol ;D
Hunter (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v239/Klute/huntermetal.jpg) Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Carcharoth on May 18, 2011, 03:12:30 pm Is that really the only picture we have of your hunter? That is shocking. Ben has been doing some painting, so we'll have some better pictures soon :)
Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Klute on May 18, 2011, 03:15:21 pm I have pics of the green. The metal pics you did there are really good at showing detail off. Bright and sharp, you should do all the single figure shots the same. I feel the parchment background is a bit confuddleing. Off topic anyways.
Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Carcharoth on May 18, 2011, 03:45:22 pm Aye, tis a bit off topic. We should complain to the mods :-[
I'm moving to always having painted pics now to show the models off - I agree that the inked metal on parchment didn't work as well as I would have liked. Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Beastlord on May 18, 2011, 06:07:59 pm Hmmm, of the older models - the ones that got me into Twilight it has to be the original Engineer and the Jenta..
More recently the ones which have really made me go wow are Arak Katain, the KalGush, the Graku and the Elder. I really think the Elder is a step forward for mike in the character and detail - brilliant! Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: TheGremlin on May 18, 2011, 08:56:23 pm I like the Devanu, especiall the jenta.
However, I also adore the Belan. Both fantastic sculpts. So are the storm troopers, and a whole bunhc of other stuff. The great thing about th whole of the twilight range is the the thing that Brandlin highlighted: the completely new paradigm that Mike has created, and I agree that the knight does a good job of personifying that. Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: TuffSkull on May 19, 2011, 05:40:53 pm its the basic Enuk Knight for me.
The second I saw it for the first time at salute, I knew it hailed froma completely different take on fantasy, and a range I would get involved with at some point. It took me a while, but having finally painted a few, and enjoyed them greatly, I can see that the sculpt will remain as my basic image of twighlight as long as I'm playing it. Simple, clean, but totally iconic in my eyes. Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: lightderakeer on May 19, 2011, 07:31:38 pm i LOVE anything with a derak in it. build more!! :D
Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Ben Brownlie on May 20, 2011, 02:42:31 pm Lots of faves... Top of the list is Bruennar, closely follwed by the delgon acolyte, Roban and the hunter

Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Laughing Ferret on June 05, 2011, 04:45:16 am hmm.. I can't pick just one... in tight cluster at the top:
Jenta Kopa Herder Trader & Baruk Strider minis i don't own yet, but from pictures can tell they'll be in there too: Delgon shocktrooper aged engineer hunter Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: elakin on June 05, 2011, 06:04:38 am It's a tie between the basic Fubarnii Knight, and a laden Baruk for me.
Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: ContrapuntalAnt on July 03, 2011, 11:51:29 pm The models that drew me to Twilight were undoubtedly the Grishak - I thought they were incredibly original (as are most of the Twilight range, of course) but also incredibly cute!
However, my favourite models are probably the Devanu Jenta, both normal and Spear. The models are undoubtedly the reason I went with the Devanu as opposed to either of the other forces - they're very different from what I would normally choose to play. Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: Pyre on July 04, 2011, 09:59:30 pm My favourite mini was the first one I ever saw, the Fubarnii Engineer... addicted ever since.
Title: Re: Your Favourite model? Post by: KDLynch on July 04, 2011, 10:06:53 pm I don't have a favourite, per se, love them all... but it was the knights that attracted my attention to Twilight in the first place. :)
