The World Of Twilight

Just watched Let Me In this evening. Remarkably good film, even if somewhat disturbing...

Waiting for it to come down in price. Was £7 in Asda other day and nearly got it but resisted. Seen the original (Let the right one in.) which is also very good and fairly disturbing.

I have seen both and they are superb. personally I prefer let me in as hammer just sets the pace really well! if you like that watch the resident ( the newish) hammer film. I really enjoyed it :D

They had a trailer for The Resident on the DVD before Let Me In and jules' immediate reaction was "no". Oh well, I did at least manage to get her to watch one horror, and she enjoyed it  :)

Watched Let me in last night.
It was very good and the 2 kids acted superbly. Would have been better if I hadnt seen the original of course and was a bit dissapointed that the scene where he sees "her" naked wasnt in there as it is an important part of the whole story.
Apparently the book is a very good read so I will be getting that as soon as World War Z is finished   ;D

Just finished reading it. I wouldn't go so far as to call the book 'very good'. 'Decent for a novel, good for the horror genre' might be better. At least better than Dean Koontz. It's a very uneven book - the first half is very, very slow, almost painfully so (and I say this as a Stephen King fan - or at least as a fan of his stuff before the van hit him and his ability to write got flattened). The second half is better.

I was not impressed enough by either the story or his writing to read anything else by him, let's just leave it at that.

Not seen the new film yet but the original is very good. It does make me feel a bit reluctant to watch the hollywood version though the girl in it was very good in Kick-Ass...and brutal :D

The girl (Chloe Moretz) does a very good job in the role and really makes the film. She was good in Kick-Ass as well, so she seems to be a good little actress.

I've got the original here, but since I do most of my film watching whilst painting I've not had the chance to watch it yet (due to not being able to concentrate on subtitles). I'll get around to it tho and might get the US version too

That's a problem I find as well - I do like foreign films, but it is very hard to get an opportunity to watch them, so they normally stay on the DVD shelf for a very long time (I still need to watch Daywatch, which has sat on the shelf for years... I'll now have even less clue what happened at the end of Nightwatch than I did at the time).
