Title: Themed Accessory Packs
Post by: Klute on May 02, 2012, 11:50:46 am
Its about time I started to sculpt my random doodles to fit in with certain themes. While sculpting I like to make random bits and bobs. These can be anything from weapons to pots and pans. Mike recently managed to get some cast up so it would be a good idea for me to try to stick to themes with the view of selling them as packs. Im sure they will be popular not just for us here.

So what Im looking for are suggestions for themes for these packs.

eg
Engineer pack
Telescope, scrolls, books, "oilcan", candles, alchemy type apparatus, spanners etc.

Here are two ideas to start:

Mushroom Farmer:
- Farming tools (Hoe, Shovel,...), collection baskets, mushrooms!, lantern.

Devanu camp:
- Nests, fubarnii skeleton, animal carcass, crude weapons

I like the Devanu camp idea

What about objects that could be used as 'objectives' - eg an engineer's chest that needs retrieving or the Emperor's jewels, etc

Travellers camp - fireplace, bags etc
Farmers trappings - corn sheafs, tools etc
Musicians instruments - drum, lute etc.
Dinner time - bugs, bottles etc
I've got a Devanu egg (onna stick) to cast at some point. I want to do at least one more.

Good keep em coming.

Mike..
How do they sleep ? on bedrolls, hunkered down on underbelly ???
What do they use in the way of cutlery or dont they.
Show egg please so we are on same track if I do some.

Serin
Objectives good but I suppose a thats what the packs could be used for. Definitley keep in mind though.

Scalifano
I like the shroom farmer idea a lot. That actually might lend itself to a new sculpted figure. Old Fubarnii hunched over with a basket and lantern on staff.
Fubarnii skeleton is something that could be handy.

What about Delgon altars, or whatever the preists use for their religion?

Hookers  :o

Ahh you mean those odd glass communal smoking things. Oddly enough thats something I had in mind when doing the noble. I even have a more traditional looking pipe already sculpt that I was going to use in his left hand but it made it look a bit busy. Hookah would be cool.

I second the idea of food platters and bottles and such.

I would love to build that market scene I saw as a sketch complete with awnings etc, so food and general stall items would be great to decorate a traders market.

I'd be pretty keen on themed packs. I'm not actually overly fussed as to what they are, but the current pieces that were available at Salute were excellent. More along those lines would indeed be handy.
