Title: Beasts of burden question
Post by: CLDecker on February 23, 2015, 12:24:08 am
I played my first game, slowly, but I did notice a few interesting nuggets;

It was a very basic game with 5 militia escorting a small group civilians along with their beasts. That little caravan is attacked by a single Devanu Kopa assisted by 3 of the Grishak betting on a quick meal. The Fubarnii had the numbers but mobility is the real killer. In the course of the very short melee the Grishak kept the militia tied up enough for the Devanu to take down one Enuk and a Enuk Nobilis. :o
Since it is a variation of a scenario in the rule book next time I'll use mounted militia instead.

My question concerns the Enuk and the stat card. Does the Nobilus use the same card or should there be one specifically for that figure?

Those militia sound very outnumbered! Poor little fubarnii...

You've raised a good question on the enuk nobilis. I'm afraid I've never done official stats for him or most of the unladen creatures - the enuk, yirnak, belan and erillai are all currently without stats or stat cards. I should do cards for them all at some point.

You could use the enuk nobilis as equivalent to a standard enuk, or give him an extra combat stone and 4+ save but make him slightly more valuable in the scenario than the standard enuk. That might be a good use for one of the blank cards you got with the deck  :)

I was going to create the card for next time and you saved me the brain work!  ;D

This game punishes bad tactics, which works for me. I like engaging the brain instead of relying on luck of the dice.
