those are really great pictures.  :)  it's nice to see all the painted forces together. very inspiring. I especially like the Delgon and Dhogu both for the paint jobs and the layout of the pictures.

Nice gallery you got there, and an amazing collection of beautifully painted miniatures too.
I love your choice of colours, a bit bold sometimes like with the noble guard but it works.

As some have noticed, I'm better with earthy colors, I'm totally not happy with the Guard and Caravan yet, work will continue. But yeah, a decade of guardsmen tells you how to paint dark and dirty ;)

I'm also really looking forward to the Frenu, might do a lot with my airbrush on them, it's just perfect for wings :D

I like all the flock you added to the bases. It gives them a bit of a guerrilla look.
The green is also beautifully offset by the colourful frenu and kedashi. Well done!
Looks like you are making good progress on the falconer too.

Looking good, but I think he needs a lighter colour to really make him stand out, perhaps a lighter trim on his fur coat will do the trick.

Hmmm, you might be true. I'll give him some brighter highlight, but he also get's my usual Dhogu snow treatment.

I'm also thinking about giving all my Delgon this treatment, including Roban, what do you guys think? I will then have a coherent force of the north. Aka, The Starks :P (does Dehran get beheaded in the Capital?) :P

Okay, seriously, should I go with one big Setir Montains force?

I think he rather will do the beheading, like with the nightwatch deserter at the start of the series.
Sounds like a great idea for a themed force! Mike asked in the big beastie topic what he should sculpt next.
Maybe you can convince him to do a beast like the dire wolf :).

When you made the link between the two worlds (Game of Thrones and World of Twilight), my first thought was: "so that's why the Enarii fled their homelands!" :)
They come from behind the Setir mountains (the Wall).

The snow on his fur cloak is an amazing idea! He looks like he walked trough a blizzard to get to his opponents. A fearsome snowman indeed, no noubt there will be tales and legends making him twice as big as he is now ;)!

these look great!  I especially like the purple tongue on Dehran as well as others have mentioned the snow on the shoulders. the effect came out really sharp and makes a great center piece.

I had decided to go with a dark brown on my Casanii too, so it is nice to see that the colour suits them.  :)

Early next year there should hopefully be a bunch more Casanii - I'm aiming to have a full 'starter force' ready in time for Salute, plus a few extras for good measure.
I like the white face paint - very distinctive!

These are superb. I liked them before, but the addition of the skeletal war paint really sets them apart and gives them a far more feral, tribal feel. Great work!

After the drybrushing with some withe/desertyellow mixture, I added 12 and 6mm grass fibres with an "Grassmaster", normally used for model train layouts. That nice thing induces 15.000 V, 20.000 would be better for the longer fibres, it still worked. (that 20.000 version was released two month after I bought mine...)

The long grass looks really good and gives them a great arid desert base theme! I don't think I've ever used anything longer than the shorter static grass (didn't even know you could get longer stuff). Do you have to have one of those grassmaster things to get it right or could you have achieved a similar look without one but presumably with more difficulty doing it manually?

I'm pretty sure you can achieve it manually, but the grassmaster makes it a lot easier. You could probably use tweezers with the long ones and maybe get them even denser. hmmm... might give that a try too ;)

You can get grass tufts in various lengths that make life easier. I tend to cheat and use those now...

I cheat with pre made grass tufts too, but I've still been well beaten to the post with the Cassani - played with them last week, but haven't take a brush to them in a while!

Great looking models, and you've continued with the consistent character throughout the whole lot of them and into the basing. Brilliant stuff!

Some lovely work on the Casanii, the skulls give them a very tribal feel.

your test knight is coming along nicely. I like the red and grey and it'll look sharp with snowy bases you've done.  :)

Thanks :) Yeah, that's the thing with most of my miniatures, they aren't finished without the base. I mostly already plan the colors for the bases beforehand too, so I can adjust my scheme a bit. For this guy, I always hat the cold snowy base in mind, he wouldn't work on a normal grass base at all.

The Casanii in particular look spectacular. The facepaint reminds me of some African tribes and fits them well.

Well, the grey knights are going to be a pretty big force, allied with some engu, they'll become the wardens of the nord (pun intended ;) ). I need to rebase my Delgon though, they'll get the same snow bases as the Dhogu to make them a nice coherent force.

Fabulous looking miniatures mate!

The dark grey on the Kelahn reminds me a lot of the critter in the Avatar movie, which fits in perfectly.

They are coming out fantastically :)
