Title: Sad, sad monkey
Post by: fikster on July 03, 2017, 08:50:48 pm
Look at this cute critter. Doesn't it look upset? That’s because it does not have any rules yet, and won't be able to play with his buddies on Saturday. Won't anyone help the poor creature?

I'm working on it!
I'm sure he would be happy pretending to be a trebarnii brute...
(nice painting  :) )

Thanks folks. As of this evening, still no rules - but hey, he's taking it on the chin, and he'll be a brute tomorrow!

I'm trying to think how best to make him unique, without creating lots of new rules. I just haven't quite struck on the right combination just yet...

A thought.....

Maybe he's a tree dwelling creature, adept at ambushing from the top of tall trees?

Don't deploy him at the start and he can ambush from any trees on the board......what if there aren't any?  Well the queen can add two woods can't she to create the trap!   :)

I've been thinking about an 'ambush' ability - don't deploy the model initially, but it can be deployed in a later turn (using an initiative counter) anywhere on the board that is out of sight of all enemy models. Woods are very handy for blocking LoS, so they would allow him to apply very close and ready to charge...

So the placing wouldn't count as activation?

The monkey is happy now, he has rules and is being play tested here: http://www.worldoftwilight.com/forum/index.php?topic=2118.0 (http://www.worldoftwilight.com/forum/index.php?topic=2118.0).
