Title: Erillai - Painted by Ben Post by: Carcharoth on March 23, 2011, 07:33:01 pm Following on from Captain Danomar yesterday I thought I would share another beastie today. The Erillai are commonly found throughout the southern empire and down into the Casani territories. They live in vast herds (flocks?) and are often seen among the great migrations.
There are two poses for this model, but Ben has only painted this one so far. The other one is almost a precise reflection. I had a slight issue with the first casting of the second model as the raised left leg twisted in the mould. It's nothing you couldn't fix with a pair of pliers, but it means I'll have some miscasts at salute that I haven't quite figured out what to do with yet! I like the subdued natural colors- seems right for a creature that fits the niche a gazelle does in our world. I found it helps to break it down into sylables in brackets ( ) as I normally get it wrong.
