Title: Pyre's other miniatures
Post by: Pyre on June 07, 2011, 10:07:16 pm
Hi Folks,

Since this is the place for other miniatures I thought I could throw up some of the non-Twilight minis I've been painting up over the last couple of weeks... obviously I was thinking of Twilight the entire time.  ;)

All my games take place on a plane of featureless obsidian... :D

... and, y'know, awaiting the resin bases.

The mercs look interesting. I've always liked the figs, but never really investigated it. What is the game like? I assume it's skirmish level combat with suitably big guns...

They have a card template movement system! Otherwise, I know very little  ;)

It's set about 170 years in the future, and the world has been divided in/by MegaCons, massive amalgamations of corporations and states. Mercs are their private soldiers. The website is quite good and the minis ae sweet. I've been meaning to buy some, but was shy of the shipping rates  ::)

Hi gang yeh I like those heavy gear too !

the game mechanics is so simple it couldnt possibly be a problem I bet they do well in canada

if your into manga then yeh me im biased because iv seen the Infinity project and they are tough

to beat. If you use the Gits system you cant loose but I think next week will be a World of

Twilight week as well as an RPG week. ;)

Oh yeh and thanks to Mike for the WOT creation see you at the Con's.

Nice work there Pyre. :)  I've got the japanese Mercs on pre-order, but haven't tried the game yet, as the first person who bought into it has yet to demo the game. lol

That team looks really nice!  I was checking out their other miniatures and I like the SIRINGIT team a lot (except that weird looking Gorillitaur thing).

Now that team you painted has players from the Human team and Anubis players from the PHARAOHS OF VIHKTORA team, can you do that?  I haven't read through the rules well.  Does your team only need to be under 180 points?

Strictly speaking no BUT the Anubis warriors were used as "counts as" figures. There seems to be a lot of flexibility within the Elfball community in trying out miniature combinations.

edit: for some reason I'm dropping the word "of" a lot recently... I might need a brain scan.
