Particularly like the spray across the leg armor of the boltgun/chainblade wielding marine. The detail underneath really makes the viscera fresh and slick by comparison.

Quite definitely qualifying for their namesake. Do you have a recipe for the gore at all?

Thanks Taelan, twas the look I was going for.

The gore is Tamiya Clear Red stippled on with a bit of blister foam then a second layer with a mix of TCR and Chaos Black. The stippling gives it that icky texture.

I love the blood effects. To often blood is reserved for Khorne/Chaos, where SMs are all squeeky clean, or a little bit battle worn. The reality is, in worlds where they must put down cultist uprisings, they are going to end up wading through masses of people, chainsword cutting swathes through the tainted population.


I do love the one shoulder pad that's gore'd up. Like he shoulder barged a cultist into a wall, and left most of his face on the pad!
