Very nice indeed! I wound't stamp on your old one, but this one is certainly more striking. I'm looking forward to seeing how you manage a Devanu.

Your right mate, a big improvement. The stripes work really well and I love the character detail with the eye.

I think I bit off more than I can chew with the next one. I'm not sure... the striping works well?

Any advice?

There's a quick re-paint then with yellow. Better? I kept a bit of the original dark green to see if it black-lines the yellow (plague brown) nicely... but not sure until I slap some wash on first.

Lordy it looks like hazard stripes when I look at it properly!

they're looking great, but I do think the latest striped one looks a little too uniformed to be natural. There needs to be less straight lines, but generally the painting looks really good.

It was painted by the Devanu, to go faster ;P

True though. Hmm have to see what I can do

The other side is less uniformal. I'll nip away at the edges of the lines with the original green and see if I can make it look less painted-on

Ok, the third Grishak is done, and so is (i think) the Devanu Kopa.

Red eyes! Battle Mode Grishak Activated!

So that's the starter Devanu done. I have two more Grishak to do (one mine, one by Laura), and then the Fubarnii.

Laura's Grishak is going to be interesting, so I decided to make a theme on it. The mini-story (writing it at the mo) revolves around some Fubarnii Jenta finding a wounded Grishak in the woods, and they nurse it back to health, keeping it in a little hut on the village outskirts. One day when the Devanu come to raid the village, the Grishak defends the children, laying down it's life to take down the Sempa leading the raid.

I'm thinking, painted claws, swirly painted patterns on it's hide, etc, where the children painted it, and made it look pretty, and if I can, either sculpt or pick up a flower to put between it's head spines.

Fantastic progress there! The stripes certainly work.
Looking forward to seeing the flowery Grishak - nice idea, if a little tragic!

Such a monstrosity (a friendly grishak) couldn't exit without a tragic end... Could it?

Could be part of a fairy tales book for jenta that are based on true stories.Moral - kindness will make savage creatures die for you? Tongue
