Last night the public vote drew to a close. Ambush came in first place, followed by Clash of Cultures in Second. Third place was shared by Knights of Relan and The Next Big Thing.

Ben's painting vote:
Ben had great difficulty choosing! 'A Way Forward' narrowly missed out on a place, but his final choice was as follows:
Third: Knights of Relan
Second: Clash of Cultures
First: Ambush

Mike's vote:
Definitely not an easy choice! I went for a couple of entries simply because they made me smile and fit nicely in the world. Clash of Cultures narrowly missed out - lovely paint jobs and a very smooth conversion.
Third: Knights of Relan - these three models simply made me smile!
Second: the Next Big Thing - fantastic concept! Feels slightly unfinished, so I'm hoping tuffskull will add the apprentice and some more clutter at some point!
First: ambush - This is just a really nice entry, as has been seen with it coming first in all three votes. The individual paint jobs are great and they are well displayed. Well done!

That brings us to the final results!
TuffSkull and Clam share Bronze place with 2.5 points each for The Next Big Thing and Knights of Relan and can choose a figure worth up to £5 for their prizes.
Silver goes to Laughing Ferret for A Clash of Cultures with 4 points and he can choose up to £15 of figures for his prize.
A well deserved Gold goes to halfmileduck for Ambush, topping all three votes and getting 9 points. First prize is £30 of figures.

All the prizes can be chosen from any figures already shown, or saved until I have some new masters ready.

Congratulations to everybody who entered - I was very impressed with the general quality and I'm looking forward to running another contest!  Grin

wow, I really didn't expect to be in the running at all  Shocked

Many congrats to the winners, especially halfmileduck with a well deserved storming of the pack. Great posing, positioning and painting made it a clear favourite for myself and clearly for many others too. I look forward to seeing what you all do with your prize models now - I hope they're of a similar stnadard Wink

Wow, that is a very pleasant surprise. With such a high level of quality from all the other entries I am especially pleased and so very grateful to everyone who voted and for all the feedback that I got. I've certainly learned a few things and there are a number of items that I will take on board for next time.

Thanks for Mike as well, I'm still relatively new to Twilight, so getting my head around the world and the background would not have been possible without all the content on here and I reckon that I am only beginning to scratch the surface.

Had better get back to my paint station and start planning for the next competition...

Thanks to everyone once again, I am very grateful for all the feedback and support. It is really great that the members of this forum make all feel welcome and are so friendly and supportive - Thanks!!!

Wow, quite surprised that my knights had any chances here as there were so many awesome entries - but thank you for the vote of confidence.

And no shame loosing to Ambush and Clash of Cultures as they were extremely good entries and therefor also got my votes Smiley Congrats, all of you guy certainly made this first painting comp. quite interesting - and thanks to Mike for doing it - hopefully you have enjoyed it and you'll consider doing something like this again.

And Mike, I'll save my prize for the new Dhogu - as I remember someone saying something like:

I will also do a few little bonus prizes, which will be something from the next master mould I get cast. I'm not sure what that'll be yet, so prize details will have to be updated later. There's a good chance that this will be the first opportunity to get one of the new Dhogu.

Thanks everyone- I'm quite happy having gotten 2nd  Grin  Big Congrats to halfmile duck: a very well executed scene!
General congrats to everyone all around too. Lots of nice minis and creative ideas.  Hopefully this has given Twilight even more exposure, keep posting on blogs & other forums  Grin

Thanks Mike for a fun contest and the awesome prize support!  I'll probably be getting some of the newer fubarnii releases I've been wanting that Hasslefree hasn't carried yet.

btw: I like having the votes be blind until it is over. Always hate elections when they announce the winner with 1% of the votes in and the east coast is 3 hours ahead to boot. Just let everyone vote in peace and count it when it's done, well done!
