best get posting then....
here are some poorly painted and phoographed Delgon Striders.

my lighting is dreadful.. Embarrassed

They are a metallic blue armour with a smoke wash. the globes were done with silver and then I tried to give an impression of fuel in them by painting a blueish coloured liquid in them

Yup, that's just the sort of thing that deserves a point  Smiley

I split this off and posted it as its own thread though!

Enjoying the color scheme you used for these. Question; was the metallic blue a mix or did you happen to have that old Polished Blue paint gw made eons ago?

Vallejo makes a blue just like that in their Model Color range. Gunmetal Blue, it's called. I know because I just spilled some all down my pants....  Roll Eyes

Foundry do metallic colours too.

I like the idea of the blue metal, but I thnk you needs to use it more sparingly.

iirc its a Tamiya colour, with a Tamiya smoke wash.

just checked its Tamiya X13 Metallic Blue, I do also still have some GW Polished Blue which has settled a lot over the years and is hard to get a decent metallic mix
