Having started to collect Twilight figures at Salute, we have begun painting. My son, Tom started with these. He has now painted a few more, including our Pree-pree.
The flash from the camera seems to have been ab bit harsh with the painting.
Remember he is only 10!

Congratulate him on his paint job - cant wait to see the pree pree (I haven't seen one painted yet, and the first person to post one will certainly get a bonus twilight point...).

Excellent for his age and puts plenty older painters to shame too. Make sure he doesnt get frustrated painting them and its more to do with having fun doing it than trying to get them perfect. That will come with time and practice Im sure.

Thanks for the positive comments.
Will try to get a photo of the Pree-pree.
It is Tom's favourite figure - it has beaten the Devanu Kopa twice so far.
It helps that Tom's rules allow it 12 combat stones and up to 3 total re-rolls if not happy with the results!

Liking the mottling the red has, very daubed approach and not unlike what I envisaged the Casani doing do their bark/hide chest armor. Smiley

10? I've seen adults paint jobs who don't look that good. Smiley Hes broken the model down into a good choice of colours that work well together. Nice work with the highlights too. I like the Graku's stripes.

Here is Tom's Pree-pree. He was disappointed there was not more contrast between the red and orange.

Looks like he's missed out on a bonus Twilight point though Sad

The Graku colour scheme was entirely his idea.
My Graku is a bit plainer.

I did notice that Chris snuck in there!
Tom can have a bonus point anyway (due to cuteness of the pree pree), so make sure I remember to update the rally's with 2 points! I think you are lagging behind your son now...

Looks good Tom/Serin, very cute. For more contrast he could add a bit of yellow to the orange to make it a bit brighter and fiery.

He's 10!??

Awesome work for someone so young. I've given painting lessons to people far older who have far less brush control, and thats the key to painting miniatures - keeping it neat - and he's well on his way to that. Keep it up!

Tom's Prepre is shown in this thread. The base is now finished but I have not had the opportunity to photograph it again.
Not sure if it qualifies for the Prepre section of the painting contest!
