I've foolishness said I'll have a go at the challenge as well. Not wanting to make things easy, my pledge includes lots of models that don't really exist yet. As such I'm going to aim for the end of July. The first jobs are finishing off a Grakukan (based on chris' sculpt) as well as sculpting new weapons and helmets for the knights and militia. I'll share some photos shortly...

Here's a quick WIP... This is based on Chris' original sculpt.
There's a lot to do on the shield and I'm working on a new head for the rider and all the baggage needs doing and I'm doing a new spear arm (that, the shield and the head should all work with the old knights as well).

Still a loong way to go before I get anywhere near getting models ready for painting!

Looks good so far. What's the beastie on the shield is it a stylised Grakkukan?

Very nice indeed. Is this model likely to be released at some point?

Yup, that's the plan. I'm working towards a release with the Grakukan and the Orelan conversion kits that I'm doing for my challenge... There might be a new captain as well, but he's just a sketch so far!

So I've started sorting models...
Grakukan captain (at casters at the moment, will count as Danomar)
2 knights (new shields and spears at casters. Not sure whether to change their heads)
Brenar (due for a head and arm swap to turn him into an orelan hoof captain)
4 militia (new spears at casters, unsure about heads)
2 graku

Using the knights as house knights that comes to 310pts, so I might have to tweak some rules.

The big problem is that the only models fit for painting are the graku! I've also got no idea on colours. I might have to talk to geckilian to see how he imagined his orelan to look (although I reserve the right to ignore his advice  Grin )

Well the advice has been given and regardless as to whether it's followed or not, my Clan Orelan will certainly follow it. Wink

I've assembled as much as I can and I'm now waiting (im)patiently for things to come back from the casters... I ended up sculpting small crests onto all the basic militia and the two knights.
Tonight I started painting the graku! Smiley

Nice!  Must admit, I'm hoping all that new stuff arrives soon, we're not far from the end of the first week....

New stuff arrived  Grin

I've assembled nearly everything now. The two graku are unmodified and have had a quick coat of paint. One militia has had a basecoat to test out colours and the rest have been undercoated. The Grakukan is pretty much assembled as standard. The militia and knights have new spears and individually sculpted crests. Brenar has been extensively modified (using the new head and sword arm, he'll also have a new shield) and needs a bit more work before painting.
Lots still to do in the next couple of weeks!
