That Is a massive set of knights you have there! Kudos to you for having the stamina to finish the whole lot off!
I painted one engineer and was knocked out!
I look forward to seeing more of your work Cheesy

Those are the first painted graku ive seen. Completely different to how the 'official' paint scheme should be, but they do look cool Smiley
Skerrats look good as well.

What colour did you envision them being Mike?

Wondering how to paint mine, they do look lizard like.....

I figured they're be quite different from the norm. When I spent a few minutes looking at the Graku properly, they reminded me of salamanders, so I figured I'd paint them up as such. It'll certainly mark them as threat, when their rules come out (hint, hint).

Good question on colour. I'm really not certain, but almost certainly not as bright as Chris'  Wink
I'd naturally tend to greens or earthy tones, drawing inspiration from larger earth lizards. They are Mark's babies though, so I'd be interested to hear his thoughts...

As for Graku rules... don't expect anything too nasty (although Chris' probably need some sort of poisonous bite in addition to any standard rules), but they'll have good synergy with the Hunter. I'll have to post some test rules if people would like to try them out, but as with the KalGush they'll be very early stage rules.

Been a while since I posted here... At any rate, here's a wip of the hunter, part of my upcoming painting competition entry. The base is somewhat of a placeholder. Still have hooves, spear and little details to paint, etc etc.

I've just sat and read through this thread for the first time.

I'm now late for my Friday night out, but it was certainly time well spent - truly inspirational on all levels. THe quality and quantity are equally inspiring - Keep it up!

Blimey, has it really been this long? Nearly a year since the last post... Oh well, an impending Salute kicks off the painting frenzy once more!

It took a day of painting, admittedly with a 5 hour break, but I managed to get a NuraSen, NuraLehn, 7 KalDreman and 5 KalJoran (minus shields) finished sans snow. I also started on 3 KalGush.

Later today after work with any luck I'll finish off the Kal'Gush and shields, add snow to all the bases and varnish at which point I'll have a proper group shot with their respective sections of my Delgon army.

With 7 days of painting left till Salute, the hope is to paint up just 3 more Delgon, 3 Grisgak, a Devanu, 6 more Knights of Relan, 4 Dhogu, 2 Yirnak Riders and a couple of Yirnak and repaint 2 Skerrat to go with the Dhogu! 23 or so models this year, a far more manageable prospect.

Of course, the only hitch is I need to try and convert up and paint a 500 point Eldar army for next Wednesday consisting of 9 Jetbikes and 4 war Walkers, and I have 29 Chaos Marines pending on comission. Busy busy busy...

Grim lot, but quite a few indeed. Gosh I really need to finish my Engineer - been so distracted on artwork inspired by Twlight of late.

Wow, you are productive. I think you have more models to paint in the week or so before Salute than I am likely to paint this year! Cheesy
