no good for the techniques i have for the laser cut buildings, but a great rural wattle and daub style i think

Have to have a look round at easter time, you can pick up large-ish plastic eggs (about 4-6") with sweets in - they'd be a good basis for Casani buildings.

You can pick up expanded polystyrene eggs from craft shops that would be a good starting point. The might not go so large, but could be useful.
Another option would be to start with a nice round ball of some variety and use a cylinder of card to get the vertical section, then cover and texture the whole thing.
