Darren and I are just making a start pulling Book 3 together... Releases from the last couple of years mean it will be rather packed, but I thought it might be fun to see any thoughts you might have on what you would like to see. So, what would you like?

How about:

- More pages then previous books added together
- Updated rules to included all the new abilities and rules, perhaps a complete rules section with new examples
- Pictures, not only Mike's drawings (which are always great) but actual pictures of miniatures
- Fluff of course
- Entry section for each faction
- Page or two dedicated to the colors of WoT
- A few pages dedicated to Terrain building
- Senarios

Sounds like a big book, close to 100 pages Wink

-  A bigger book with double the pages or more than the first two  books
-  Section for each faction with new figures and rules for them
-  2 or 3 Senarios
-  Painting guides

Would a bigger book feel consistent with the other two? I would have to look at printing options... It wouldn't be a huge book though - that would be saved for my longer term plans to pull everything together as a single big book. Don't hold your breath on that though as it really is a long term pipe dream... For book 3 I'll be doing something more manageable and in keeping with the first two books.

Well how book a book 1 & 1/2 times bigger than book 2?

Would need to at minimum include:
- new rules and abilities
- new models rules
- some fluff
- a few scenarios
- a few pages at the end dedicated to painting would be a nice way to end book three.

I think a nice emerald green cover would be good for book three.

I'd say you'd need to bare in mind what your working towards ultimately, what narrative are building towards?

You have the Traveller for putting out a range of painting and modelling articles. This can then be used as a good way of expanding the world before ultimately combing the three books and the relevant Traveller articles in the BIG BOOK.

I think what Scalifano said sounds good to me...

Just the fact that Book 3 is coming out is good enough for me.
The important bits are clarifying rules for new models and scenarios.
A quick reference summarising all the special rules would be helpful.

Haha, this is more or less the way I feel too!

In my mind, book 3 would be focused on the Dhogu (much in the way that book 2 felt like it was focused on Delgon, even though there were new rules/profiles for other factions as well).  In that regard, it seems like Dhogu-centric fluff and scenarios would be the order of the day, although not to the exclusion of everything else of course.  A few scenarios to show-case the new models for the other factions would be a great idea, too.

Oh, and a green cover   Grin

Book 3 will almost certainly be green!
It won't be focused on the dhogu, but they will make an appearance. You can expect to see lots of different themed forces for the three main cultures - knights of orelan, trade caravans,Eragu, dhogu raiders and Devanu rogue Jenta will all make an appearance, among others.
I've got some more ideas I'm hoping to do as well...

Is Book 3 still progressing?
Is it likely to surface at Salute?

Book 3 is progressing...
It's going to be tight, but I would like to get it finished for salute. Smiley

The book has evolved slightly from previous plans and is now following Danakan on his travels around Anyaral. There have been a lot of releases since book 2, so it's going to have plenty of content in there.

That is good news. Are the characters from the competition likely to appear?
