Morning all!
The New Year is birthed and our eye turns to the canvas of 2013. Time for some announcements I think. First and foremost is the formation of the Twilight Hunters. We hope that some of you stalwart gamers will form the core of our demo and ambassadorial team pushing World of Twilight into new, as yet unexplored areas.
InitiationTo get into the Hunters you will need to produce a single gaming article for the site/forum. This can be a faction guide, a painting article, battle report etc… We’re happy to give guidance on a case by case basis but you already know the type of thing we’re looking for.
- For the foreseeable future I'll be running this programme under the auspices of Mike so in the first instance you should PM me to express your interest.
ApprenticeOnce accepted into the hunters you will have a three month apprentice period while you get your demo sets in order and perhaps produce another article or hold one or more demo sessions.
- See miniature requirements below
- Progression from Apprentice to Hunter is not automatic. Mike and I will decide who graduates based on the effort made and the quality the articles/miniatures.
- If graduation is not achieved within three months a further block of three months will be added to the apprenticeship
HunterOnce becoming a full Hunter we’re looking for you to be a real promoter of the World of Twilight with a mix of articles, demo sessions or convention attendance roughly working out to roughly 1 a month. Increasing the community with active forum or blog posts is a real goal for us in addition to the demos (and subsequent sales!),
- There are a series of ranks and specialities such as Tracker, Skinner, Devanu hunter, Ice-, Plains-, Prey- etc… These have their own requirements and come with differing benefits. A full list will be announced here at Salute 2013.
- Rankings will be reviewed annually unless the Hunters effort warrants it sooner.
At this level we have a code of conduct for Hunters you’ll need to follow as when you demo you not only represent yourself but the Game and us too. As you can imagine this is a significant investment for a company as small as ours so our ideas about what is acceptable and what is not are very cut and dry.
Miniature Requirements.Hey… it’s a miniatures game after all.
- Two fully painted factions of between 150 and 250pts. The contents of the small/large starter sets are preferable but any combination of factions will be considered.
- Note: these forces must be able to both cover the rules required and represent their races accurately, no power lists please…
- A single painted example from each faction/race for a bit of show and tell after a game. (optional but cool)
- Hard copy of rulebooks
BenefitsWe’re not all take, take, take. The dedication to become and stay a Hunter is quite demanding so to show our appreciation for your efforts the following will be made available.
For Apprentices
- Sig-blocks based on the Hunter archetype. (see Mike’s initial sketches below)
- Twilight Points bonus for Apprentices after their 3 months
