First post retracted - the artist has the correct hands, I was confused! See below for musician conversion that led to and resulted from this thread anyway!

Quote
Hi guys, and especially mike on this one,

I was looking at the fubarnii civilian models this evening with a couple of the guys, and came to a realisation. It does appear that the fubarnii artist has two right hands. That is to say, both the hand with the brush, and the hand with the pit of paint have their "thumb" on the same side.

Granted, I would never have noticed if I wasn't eyeing one up to convert but on looking at the pieces with an eye to making him into a musician, with either a lute or a harp, I noticed that both arms were right hands!

We also decided that the dhogu Yirnaks aren't worth their points, and the dhogu really need their erarii friend ASAP as a truly hard hitting, survivable combat unit, whil th Engu leaders and harpoons are truly dirty, wonderful things in the game... But that's all another story.  Wink

Turns out, two right hands doesn't stop you playing the. . . Umm. . . Lute of some form?

Basic posing done, just needs some green stuff work to pull it together!

Nice conversion, I love the pose.
Good job on the stone house as well.

That's a great conversion!

Has the artist really got two right hands? I can't believe I hadn't seen that, but I'm going to have to check as soon as I get home...

If you do field a force entirely consisting of yirnaks! I am wondering if the dhogu might need some enhancements to balance them out, but I did win with them last weekend (yirnak admittedly died very quickly, but the skerrats saved my bacon a couple of times by skittering in to give some much needed support!)

ooh hello :-)
Artist definitely has a opposing left and right hands (as far as fantasy creatures go). I think maybe the way the brush is held like a pen is confusing. ie. one palm is up the other down making the thumbs the same side as viewed.

Consider it retracted! I was definitely wrong!  Embarrassed

I really don't know how I got so convinced the hands were the same, they most clearly are not!

Sorry for confusing people, and casting any doubt - another beautifully formed figure!  Grin
