Does anyone play Frostgrave here? Just wondering if anyone else has considered using WoT figures to create a unique warband and if so what would you use? I'm thinking Delagon priests as the wizard and apprentice? Would also make an interesting add on to the kickstarter...

I picked up Frostgrave at Crisis last year and had plans to use my Helldorado miniatures that I had playing around.
However, since someone mentioned using the WoT miniatures for Frostgrave, I almost immediately planned to do the same. I plan to use a Noble and Danakin as elementalists, with Empire units and a skerrat or Dexu as a warhound Smiley.

Haha, now that would be a sight.
But perhaps that kind of colour scheme should be solely for breastcancer awareness week. Though I remember seeing some cute pink 'Hello Kitty' mechs and a excellent looking pink Cryx force in the past.

I like the idea of using Twilight models for Frostgrave. I also find myself thinking of morphing the idea of Frostgrave into the world of Twilight. instead of using magic users as in Frostgrave though, I would use the character types already in Anyaral:

* traders looking for rare goods or unique artifacts
* traveling biologists (looking at you Gil  Wink  ) exploring the world
* engineers from the Empire or of the Delgon or even that odd casanii fellow Rin  hunting for new materials or inspiration
* Devanu hunting parties stalking the unwary or laying claim to a site

each character  would have it's own set of abilities that fit within the Anyaral theme and an apprentice or junior partner or whatnot. rounded out by a few stalwart companions such as the lonely outcast Casanii, the lost and mournful Engu, the curious and unrepentant Delgon, and some Fubarnii mercenary militia. it would be a neat opportunity to use models that normally don't go together.

all they'd need is an old abandoned fubarnii settlement, crumbling old Delgon industrial site, ruined Devanu tower, casanii sacred ruins or some such for the ambitious to come looking for knowledge, fortune, or glory.

I could see myself one day in the nebulous future putting together a one-off adventure for  4-5 scenarios as a mini campaign.

in the meantime though, I'd certainly be inclined to use my models in Frostgrave itself. definitely a lot of character and a chance to kit out models as individual personalities. better than the old bretonnian men-at-arms I was thinking of using...    Grin  Cheesy  Wink

as for what I'd use.. I think I'd go with the Empire noble as my wizard and use the trader on foot as my apprentice. probably have them be illusionists. then throw in the casanii scout, the hunter and some graku, maybe a couple of militia with spears, a militia captain (w/sword & shield) for a heavy, Muri for an apothecary.... and of course the Dhogu are perfectly suited with their furs. lot's of possibilities.   Wink

Some awesome ideas. I'll definitely have to try this! I was thinking Grishak as warhounds but then the mutts came along in this new kickstarter who'd probably make better proxies!

I think the Sellswords expansion lets you do warbands with no wizards and I've seen some cool scenarios with werewolves attacking a treasure convoy made up of traders and escorts.

That sounds very interesting GrimSnik, but I'm wondering if Games like Iron Kingdoms,Warhammer Quest, D&D, ... wouldn't suit and support your idea better than Frostgrave.
Be sure to post pictures of your adventurers if you created them :-).

I really like the sound of frostgrave! I'll have to try and find a copy of the book if I get a few spare minutes at salute...
