Thanks for the support - glad people like them Smiley

I've somewhat moved my painting attentions to other projects for a while, but there are still many models I photographed before salute which I've not had time to edit the pics or show them yet.

As such I have resolved that every time I turn on my laptop (which is rare.... I'm usually on iPad) I will make time to edit and a couple of pics.

For today, it's detail shots of a couple of bits from the flavour / faction of the moment - the Casanii - which I don't think I've shown in detail before - my first two scouts (which remain without warpaint) and my converted captain, made using another scout and the arm from an errallai rider. Just to confuse people, he carried both a spear and a bow (the latter goes unused in game, obviously....)

I stipples the green armour on all of these, as I wanted to give the impression of toughened and coloured leather rather than the metal / resin smooth armour of the core empire. It works at gaming distance.... Not so convinced here!  Tongue

I like the stippling effect   Smiley
The captain looks cool, even if you just confused things with the bow arm!

these look great. the green is very rich looking with the stippling..... I think it works as a means to make the armor more soft in texture.   Smiley

Very nice! I like the flesh tone with the darker undertone/shadow. I also like the stippled green armor. I might not have picked up on it had you not pointed it out. It does come through clearly when I zoom in.

Thanks for including the pictures. They keep me inspired.

Some very colourful Casanii.
The green of the armour reminds me more of copper oxide instead of beaten leather. But it was definitely the right colour to use.
I'm in awe of both your colour choices and the warpaint.
I'll probably repeat myself over and over again, but that doesn't make it less true: beautiful work!

Thanks guys!

That tribal design on his arm  Shocked

How do you mean? It's painted the same as I've done the blades for all of my Casanii, following inspiration from the obsidian style Joe painted the studio figures with.

If you just mean the quality - some of these guys were really rushed getting them done for salute. To be honest, it's not as noticeable in real life and I probably won't go back to upgrade it but if does look as rushed as it was!  Embarrassed
