Hi all.

Quick question on Frenu swarms: is there a base size difference between the small and medium swarms? I seem to recall my swarms came with 2 bases, but it all got lost in the great miniature wash post Salute.

Cheers

The small swarm should be on a 30mm base and the medium on a 40mm.

What Mike has said we can do is just make up the swarm on the 30mm base and if it grows in game just put the 40mm underneath.

Nice, thanks!

Tater has answered this perfectly!
You can be as creative as you like with the swarms, but the most flexible approach is to make up the swarms on small bases and just put them on medium bases when they grow.
I haven't done rules for large swarms just yet... medium swarms are scary enough! (Although I learned that they are real liability when playing against Paul's massed slingers...)

what's this talk about large swarms?   Grin

What I did with mine was carefully remove one frenu from the swarm so my two small swarms have three frenu on.  The medium swarm is mounted on a 40mm base and has the two extra frenu added so has six and looks a bit more "swarmy"

In the end, I made it complex. 3d printed half bases with magnets (because I need magnets in my life). It is not perfect, but it was fun to build.

That looks like a very clever solution!
Do you have photos of them clipped together?
