Here he is, my first foray into resin models! Grin

Ian at Fenris has done the honours with the casting - I've now realised I took photos of his first rough casting so it's got a couple of air bubbles, but that won't be the case for the actual ones.

I hope you like him. He will be available at Salute for £15, including a 60mm resin base (chosen from either a plain base or from a variety of different designs). If you want more than one belan then I'll probably sort out a deal.

I'm currently loading one up with baggage for the demo game, and I'll eventually do a proper one. I'm going to have 20 at Salute and I'm not sure how/if this will be available afterwards...

Love the beastie, but seems to be about to topple forwards?

I'll be taking advance orders if you want to make sure you get one  Smiley

The belan has a lot of mass around the haunches, so looks more imbalanced than it is. It leans forward a little bit though.

I've covered one in baggage, but that one won't be castable. Hoping to slap some paint on him this weekend...

Another characterful beastie for Twilight. Is the belan just a package beast or does it carry any kind of howdah?

I always imagined it as a beast of burden for the Fubarnii, generally with bags on its back. Absolutely nothing stopping an enterprising Fubarnii from strapping a howdah onto a Belan's back though.
I've not go any plans to do a howdah at the moment, but I could possibly be convinced...

I have a plan to do Larigal's corpulent and rather useless mayor on a howdah, not sure whether to use a baruk or belan though. Thoughts?

I wasn't aware I had even given you one... Have you been talking to Ian, or should I not get my hopes up?

Mark was wanting to build something on the back of the belan to go with his herders... Must remember to save one of the belan for him!

I like the sound of Larigal's mayor. I want to do the same with a corpulent trader. I could see it working on either a belan or a baruk, but not sure which would work better!

A Belan. I'd love a crpulent trader on Belan howdah as a large centrepiece for the Traders/Herders. Since I'm combining those 2 groups, a lazy leader on massive beast directing a load of peasants to do his biddings is quite appealing.
