meaning to get this up here for a while, but never got round to it. so here goes Cheesy
the crysisari clan
location: 50 miles south of genera, in this area the land gets slightly more bearable for living in. patches of weed and grass can be seen here and there, the occasional scrawny tree has dragged itself out of the ground. small oasis pop up here and there, wich are jealously gaurded by the crysisari.
domains: the crysisari do not have one village or town, but a whole cluster of hamlets stretching across a strip of the argoran wastes. these hamlets are usually focussed around one oasis or well. most crysisari dwelling are largely underground, with only a small mound of ground and dirt indicating a tunnel entrance. crysisari tunnels are not too advanced, seeing as they have no tools or beams to strengthen and develop them with. cave-ins are a common problem.
the crysisari: the crysisari are simple people. they are shorter than the gethloan, but stockier as well. to deal with the hot weather, they wrap themselves in white dyed jeribo wool from head to hoof. most of them are miners or traders.
lifestyle: the crysisari cheifly live off the nectar of kerrik trees. this rots their beak significantly and gives the strange hissing accent that other fubarni find hilarious. to harvest the nectar the crysisari have to be especially tough. living in the argoran waste means that the clan are especially vulnerable to devanu attack, meaning they have to aquire weapons form traders going to and from genera.
trade: the crysisari pracitcally live off the traders, because it is almost impossible to grow any plants or keep any animals in the harsh argoran climes. the traders benefit massively from this, because the land the crysisari own is filled with crysisar, an exotic turqoise stone that is highly valued by the nobles in central gethloa. this symbiotic relationship has marked the crysisari villages on the map for many trader caravans.
organisation: instead of a single clan cheif, the crysisari villages are led by a number of village leaders, known as hasharad, wich best translates into english as foreman. these hasharad represent the fubarnii of their village and every month they will get together with the other hasharad to discuss affairs. they are also in charge of any minig that is done. any crysisari clansmember who finds a seam of crysisar must immediately inform his villages hasharad. because of this odd (at least to the fubarnii) system of government the crysisari clan is not techincally a clan, and cannot be found on any imperial records. this however, has not stopped the empire visiting crysisari villages to congratulate them on "the crucial role you have played in supporting the empire and the emperor". "friendly" competition is encouraged by the hasharads between villages, and many a fight has been started between two miners who claim they "saw it first".

Sounds very characterful. I like the bit about the hissing sounds when they talk.
