One of my favourite things about working on Twilight is getting input and feedback from you guys – it’s a great feeling to see a well painted army, hear about battles people have been playing in my little world, or read some random fluff or a story that expands the setting. For a while now I’ve been trying to think how best to thank people for sharing stuff and I’m going to have a go at introducing Twilight points. These will be given out in an arbitrary fashion based entirely on my whims. Basically, if somebody shares something that makes me smile then they’ll be awarded one or more Twilight Points. I’ll just post in the thread that the person has been awarded them.
I might have to start a Twilight Points tally thread as well, but for the moment I'll track them here. Points will have two functions. The first is that you can track the running total and be smug if you’ve got more than other people. Secondly, you can trade points for stuff. Those points can be traded in for some stuff from the Twilight range, which I’ll send out to you wherever you are in the world. I'll come up with a list of options for free stuff you can choose from and you can just drop me an email and I’ll sort it out.
The first thing I need to do is come up with a better name… There’s one Twilight Point (or whatever they are called) up for grabs to whoever comes up with the best name.
I’m also going to give everybody a point just for registering for the scheme (which just involves posting in this thread).
I'm going to start points from 1st November, but will be more generous with points to people who've already posted stuff.
General disclaimerTwilight Points have no actual monetary value and I can change/stop the scheme at any time – they are a bit of fun and a way for me to say thanks when people do cool stuff. I’ll certainly try to honour it, but if it gets silly then I reserve the right to mess around with things… The last thing I want is for people to feel offended because I don’t give them enough points for something!
