Another question, what about how these entries become canon or not? Will only the winning entries be considered canonical, or all of them, or will Mike go through some sort of selection procedure?

Mike's world. Mike gets to choose.

I figured that'd probably be the case (but decided to ask anyway).

It's a good question. I tried to write all the entries up in a manner that they slot directly into the world, so they can all count as 'official' to some extent. For a few of them it is less clear if they exist or not, but if if they don't actually exist, they can still belong as myths or tall tales within the world.
Most likely they'll just turn up as little references in the fluff, but if I ever sculpt any of them I'll credit the creator, and they only have to ask if they want a copy  Smiley

I hope plenty of them become canon.  I voted for ones that I thought added nice details to the Fubarnii world, so the Ghaar for its needle teeth and blubber, and the Eavu for its garkrid hunting ability.  The Sgru'bu was close behind with its bristles and food preserving secretions.  The toadear poison might also be a handy addition to the world.  But I also loved the Kyatu.  And various others...
I suspect I will be including a lot of ideas in the fluff even if Mike doesn't sculpt them.

The redrawn creatures look brilliant.. what a tough decision picking two of them.

That's a bit of a turn-around over the last couple of days, with one of the entries pulling out into the lead!
Only one more day to go now as the voting closes tomorrow evening...

Well done everyone. I loved to Akarri (and voted for it) but there were 4 or 5 I struggled to choose between.

Off on a short business trip and somewhat the worse for vino, but well done to scalifanos on the akarri! I'm fairly certain which of the entries will get my vote, but I'll wait until I'm more sober to announce it!

Yes, well done Scalifano and everyone who entered.  And: almost 50% of people on the forum voted!  That's not bad for a first competition.
