Cheers HN - always good to know someone's watching to keep the motivation going!

The promised pic from yesterdays exploits...

P.S. as an aside, I've noticed twice now that if you try to post a picture that's too large, then go back to correct it, you can no longer post. I've had to re-enter the thread and start again each time.... ?

I updated my Blog with a "What's on the workbench" post at the same time as posting the pic here, so, via a link, your wish is granted....

http://hobbybrush.blogspot.com/

There's links off that all around my website, and i'll soon be posting my annual tour of the cabinets to see what's changed, and what I plan / need to work on in 2012!

As it happens, I'm far more used to painting smaller scales than 28mm, so its these I find unnerving!  Undecided

There's still more to add, namely shields to the knights and bush tufts to all the new bases, but the Fubarnii jumped onto a shelf for my annual tour of the cabinets (see my blog) so you get another update here too!

One question. whilst it wasn't initially an intentional move, I have now embraced the bright style of these models. My first militia & Knight unit were painted with white trim.
The second of each I've painted with yellow trim
The third unit of militia I've bottled out and left their trim black. Its a good contrast, but should I go all-out and add colour? Which? A Part of me wants to play at being a 1990's 'Eavy Metal painter and give them blue trim to complete the Primary colours line-up....  Roll Eyes

Detail shots once the shields are done!

Looking good! I don't think a bit of blue trim would look out of place - neat way to distinguish units.

Did I never give you the new knight spears? Oops... Yell if you would like them...

Cheers guys!

Nope, never got any knight's spears. I'm hoping I might earn a few twighlight points so maybe I'll put those towards an armament upgrade Wink

Right, all is done and dusted for the moment. You'll notice there's no bushed onthese bases, simply because I've run out. I dont rememebr the last time that happened, it's been years as I buy them in bulk, but I leant out what's turned out to be my last bag, so no bushes for a while!

Shields have finally also been added to my original unit of knights who've always been lacking them - I found them during a clearout a while back.

More pics on my website soon, but here's one the new militia and one of the new knights

Woohoo!

In a last ditch attempt to be productive before I go skiing next week (first time in 8 years... fingers crossed I return intact!) I've started blocking in some Hunters and one happened to jump in front of the camera while it was set up for other shots Wink
