Can't believe how long it took me to get some paint on my Fubarnii!
My Devanu have been 'done' (if any project you like is ever 'done'... there is always the desire to expand them) but I haven't had much of any chance to paint the Fubarnii.
Between work and the local group jumping into Weird WWII and me painting apes & monkeys for one force and fairytale characters for the other, Fubarnii just kept getting pushed behind but never far from my mind.

I can't show the pictures yet, because I entered them in the Lead Painted League challenge and can't publish them anywhere else till the round is done.
But I'm excited to finally get some paint on these!

I'll post better pictures than are there when it's done- the single picture at 800 pixel limit is well, limiting Wink
You can see them here http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php?topic=40556.0 if you don't want to wait.

There are only 2 rounds after this before the final round theme that is already selected, 'maritime', I only have 1 of the 2 rounds topic chosen, leaving me with an undecided one for round 9- so I may do more Twilight  Grin maybe the light cav, or maybe the Noble with kids and 'pet' creatures as a family scene or maybe as urchins following him along, hoping for a handout.. don't know yet, too many ideas!

That's an absolutely gorgeous little diorama you've got set up there!  Definitely second the call for some close ups of the figures, the painting looks superb.

Thanks everyone  Grin

Here are some closer-up shots:

Thanks Taelan, I like working in muted colors- though I did push it some for brightness for the merchant & some of the rugs & such  Wink

Now, will I be able to resist adding more Dhogu to my collection before I paint more Fubarnii? I don't know.
I moved not long back and now I don't have the tree that makes those little seed pods I used for the fungal-flower things, going to have to find a source for those.

Yup, must say they are brighter in the recent photos Cheesy

In the original shot, they came across as subdued hues; which looked great and had that retro innocence about them. Having these new photos really shows the details and true colours alright Smiley

The skin tones certainly benefit from a closer photo, love the shading. Personal favourite of the caravan pack, far left and far right. The pattern details throughout the group are great too.

Lovely work, thanks for posting up new images Smiley

Cunning use of the seed pods, I always assumed you had sculpted them. Smiley

Lovely skin tones.

They're all looking superb. The muted tones are beautiful and the markings are great. I was thinking of going with grey / brown for my Baruk, but couldn't decide which. I might have to steal your patterning and combine the two - I'm sure I cant beat it!

Those are stunning. I love the choice of colours - just what I was wanting them to look like when I originally sculpted them (even if I didn't quite know it at the time...).
