Those Dhogu look great (like everything in your thread)!  I wasn't too sure about the fully wrapped head when I first got my Dhogu either, but I think you pulled it off well so I'll be looking for a way to use it on a future model.  Seems like it might be especially fitting for a Yirnak rider, who would be awfully exposed to the wind sitting up that high.

Great job, keep up the good work!

more impressive work. I particularly like the green detail colour your using - great muted shades.

Once again cheers everyone!

Only finished 1 model thus far today. Even though I have several hours of painting to go, I figure I'll post it up now as it's unlikely I'll actually finish the 6 Knights of Relan. Thus, 'The Great White' -

A comparison with another alpha -

Surely he should have a small Fubarnii hunter with a peg leg tangled up with him on his back Wink

A one legged hunter eh..? Interesting concept... Hmm. Cheers Mike, much appreciated!

Yeah, quite a few new minis! I had a break from Twilight for a while, and when I came back was quite surprised as to how much more there was, blimey. Won't be long now till a third rulebook.

As for painting, currently working on the rider's flesh for the 6 Knights of Relan. These guys are taking me far longer than I expected, though I'm guess it's as they have more fiddly detail per mini compared to, say, a Grishak. Thankfully I only have 4 left to go, but my motivation is starting to ebb.

On the plus side, I was able to assemble the Farseer on jetbike conversion, as well as 8 more jetbikes and a rider whilst at my gaming group today, and I got in a 500 point game of 40k and trounced my supremely unlucky opponent. He couldn't make saves at all, Plague Marines were dropping to shuriken...

Blarg. Eventually got there, procrastination aside. These knights seemed to drag on an on, so I'm glad they're now finished.

Danomar leading his Knights of Relan -

The full phalanx of Fubarnii knights -

Though I only have 2 models left on my original list for this Salute, a Devanu and a Yirnak rider, I've added my last 2 Yirnak to the list, as well as another 2 Skerrat and a very last Devanu. With today and tomorrow left, having just 2 would have been too easy right? The Skerrat are pretty small at least, and the 3 Yirnak are half done, though the rider isn't started.

Ho hum, not long now...

Cheers! 4 Knight Captains, 400 points. 24 Knights, 600 points. 8 Knights of Relan, 320 points. Danomar, 150 points. The knight army overall - 1,470 points. The look on your opponent's face when they realise they're facing 1.5 thousand points of Knights? Priceless.

For everything else, there's Fubarniicard.

I think the largest game I've played was 850ish points. 1500 is HUGE!!!!!!

Would be impressive to play that though, and you have plenty of command models to keep them fighting until the bitter end.

I'm looking forward to the day I can play 2,000 points really. I have another 36 militia, a couple of captains, Brenar, slingers, herders etc etc so I likely have well over that for the Empire, but it's not all painted unfortunately. Painting 36 militia is going to be rough...

Anyway, here's the next batch, the remaining 2 Yirnak and 3 more Skerrat -

The group shot of all of them now -

That just leaves the rider and gear on the last Yirnak rider, as the Yirnak itself and base are finished, and 2 Devanu who so far haven't had that much work done on them aside from a few base coats. With luck I'll manage to finish before Salute, though as I work all day tomorrow it may involve a slight lack of sleep...
