Not actually painted yet, but it's a start.

The wall texture is done with paper clay.

Yup, cocktail sticks!

Of course.  I think there are a couple more that Mike hasn't sent yet.

He is a very old jaguar.  I did him for the website I planned to have about 10 years ago but never really got round to.  You will notice he is not strictly painted but computer graphicked (by hand! no cheating), but if you know Kipling's "The beginning of the armadillos" it will all make sense.

Okay, okay!

I'll try to get better shots of some of the detail when my camera isn't whining about batteries.

Very nicely finished off! Smiley
I see the symbol for 'trader' on the wall. What does the sign above the door say?

oooh scrummy - that's pretty effective!

how did you do the wood grain - people have suggested that my approach is too detailed and the fact that the wood bits are plain puts them off buying the kits - but yours is effective too and if its easier/quicker then that might be a solution?

Sorry, I did my wood grain by hand.  I think it is rather rougher than yours so might have been a bit quicker, but no clever techniques I'm afraid.  I glazed the windows with a craft glaze, I don't know how effective you think it is.  Oh, and the metalwork is just gold acrylic paint.
The sign is the trader's name, Kraalt.  I'm working on his backstory...
