Hello, my name is Nickolai, 30 years old, from Moscow, Russia.

I’ve been collecting WFB (mainly Dwarfs) since the 5th edition, occasionally dabbed into GW Specialist Games (mostly Warhammer Quest and Mordheim), 40K, D&D, MTG – all the usual stuff. Always been more of a collector than an actual gamer. Recently completely fell out of the hobby due to the sudden appearance of a wife and two kids (the younger of which was born on 30.10.14), so now I'm desperately trying to resume at least some form of hobby life. GW games are out of the question (too expensive, too many miniatures plus the scale creep is an absolute torture for me), so I'm switching to skirmish games.

Like so many others, for me Twilight began with a Kickstarter (as far as I remember). I've made a small pledge, got my package, gazed at the Gil Masharl miniature, sighed and sat on planning my shopping list. Also made an impulse purchase of a Delgon priest from Hasslefree (hope it doesn't get lost en route)... I intend to make a proper order after Christmas and New Year (which is usually a huge post-stopper here in Russia), if the GBP to RUB rate doesn't reach even more ridiculous levels. I'll probably document everything and post pictures whenever possible.

Really really glad to be on board. Smiley

I can totally relate to that, as I'm in almost the same situation, although my kids are a bit older (4 and 3), bur the third is on his way. And I too switched from large scale gaming (WH40k) to skirmish games.
I guess it is the fate of many gamers and some friends even quit playing/collecting/painting because it.

Anyway, I look forward to see you painted miniatures.

Well... I'll definitely need two forces from the get-go. I'm thinking Delgon (their regular army) vs. the Empire (rural militia and settlers), seems like an interesting match-up, and fitting with the the history of the Retribution (as far as I can tell right now). If I manage to collect at least something and play a few games, I'll probably add something more exotic (I usually don't like to collect what everyone else is collecting).
But it will probably drag for god-knows-how-long. Twilight has to compete with at least one other skirmish game I started, the said game has a head start (I already have some miniatures), and it already drags horribly.
