Well, I started buying the models way back in the dim and murky past when I was working in Afghanistan, apparently the knights and militia are some of the first batches.

I painted these in the evenings of the week running up to Salute, and finally did the bases this afternoon (not sooner as I was away on business)

Anyway, and Empire force and a trader

Now to paint the Delgon, Devanu and Casanii ....

Really nice choice of different colours arose the force. They look unique and varied, but maintain a cohesion within the force - great result! And great basing too. Keep it up!

Nice job. I take it is not your first time painting minis. I was thinking of painting my bases in a flat black but am forced to reconsider in view of your nice brown bases.

Yes it was

That's good!
I do love the look of the old spears, aside from the bendyness! I've still got my original Knights and militia, so just have to straighten the spears occasionally...

I like the brown trim to the bases. I've varied over the years whether I prefer the black trims to frame the miniature, or something that lets them blend more into the scenery, but I like how you've done yours.

Are they getting some devanu to defend against next, or have you got another plan?

Always nice to see a well painted force and one with an alternative paint scheme.

A fantastic looking force, colourful but yet with a clear coherence.
This is a great alternative colour scheme!

So, this weekend I finished what Devanu I had lurking in the box of metal Smiley

I went for a more muted natural predator colour pallette, with the odd splash of colour to make them slightly more "civilised".

The tufts of the base and the brown bushes are from eBay, a seller called tajima1; the flowers are by mininatur

Thanks for the comments, got my Delgon and Casanii to do still...
