For Salute I had a bunch of people working to give a nice big trader caravan with protectors, as well as lots of knights to sally forth from the city gates.

First up we have Steve's traders. The elder trader kept watch over the youngsters, with a few skerrats nipping at the heels of any errant beasts.

Then of course we needed plenty of beasts, so Ben set to work painting up lots of enuk and belan. I don't think the kids made it into the game, but I'm sure they were watching from the sidelines.

And a full shot of the caravan, including my laden belan.

The caravan needed some protection, so as well as a couple of units of militia we had some herders along for the ride. These were all painted by Pyre (I'll let him pimp his painting services if he so desires!) and then based by Steve and Martin to match the rest of the force.

Very nice all round there! I especially like how the muted tones across all 3 groups really helps them tie together.

Love the funky coloured Skerrat  Grin
Totally digging the group shot of the herders. Makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside, and kinda proud  Smiley  I like the way that a couple of slingers that were meant to be holding the stone in the pouch are holding the staff with the stone/pouch swinging free and it still looks natural.

I <3 the traders, civilians and the laden creatures! Its a big reason as to why I got into this game!
Also when will the Laden Belan be available for purchase?

That's a beautiful sight, and no wonder that a lot of people must have stopped and had a good look.

The trading caravan with the laden Belan in particular is an eye catcher.

You have to start working on the laden Belan, Mike! You see, Mike we all want one Cheesy

Also like the herders - and really regret, not buying the mounted herders. Please let us know when restock arrives, will yu'?

Great work. This really is what makes WoT stand out above other game; some would write scenarios with civilians etc but few would go to the trouble of sculpting such great non-combat minis.

These are all very impressive; in fact I liked them so much that I really did want a load of traders, herders and civilians of my own. In the end however, I decided that I'd better hold on until I can get some paint on my other forces when they arrive first...  Wink

I especially love the Skerrats, the Fubarnii Jenta with the toy and the Belan; they really are so charming! Grin

A shame I missed it. I did not have a chance to leave my own game for more the 20mins and I got around about 10 stands before rushing back...

That's nine stands and fifteen minutes more than me then!
