Just a couple of random additions to the world...

I see the nobles of the central empire as a somewhat pretentious, wearing fashionable clothes and generally showing off their wealth. The guards would also wear fancy outfits so as not to show up the nobility.

Great sketches. I particularly like the other head sketch for the noble. Any difference in Sempa & Kopa clothing etc? I'd love to see a Jenta, slightly ill-at ease in their posh togs.

Interesting designs! I can certainly see their place in the Empire. Of the two I think I prefer the guard more, possibly because he's in a good aggressive stance and, importantly, armed.

I really like the headgear. Reminds me of Incan or South American style.

However the clothes might be a bit too...edwardian? Maybe unintentionally, the frills and waistcoats seem to human. Maybe I'm reading the drawings incorrectly, though.

Possibly a tad Edwardian... It's a first sketch though, so don't expect it to retain that too strongly. The 'ruffs' are more solid material rather than frilly and there will be plenty of variations.

Not sure of differences between sempa and kopa. Fashions change. There have been times when the fashions have deliberately obscured the life stage, but it's so hard to keep track  Smiley

Funnily enough when I was researching the sling staves I spotted one being used in that movie to great effect.

I really like the headgear in the upper-right, with the curly end. Smiley

I know it is an old thread, but I bought one of these nobles at Salute.

Is there any guidance on colour schemes, or could they be any colour I like?
Are gold and silver precious metals in the Twilight world, so likely yo feature heavily, or are there entirely different metals?

His pet Pree-pree needs painting as well!

Extended tail? They have fake tails, they wear, or do they do something to their own tail?

As bright and shiny as you like. Nothing is too tasteless. Have you seen Ben's paint job? I think I shared that here...
The tail is indeed fake - the city fubarnii have often never seen Devanu, so there is a certain degree of exoticism to these powerful creatures. A recent fashion is to mimic the tails of the Devanu... I'm certain commander Brenar would NOT approve.

Wow! Are they real Devanu tails, or constructs? Do they make them to fit in with their own bodies, via artists taking ages to mix up the correct paints, so this tail blends seemlessly with their own body, or do they go over the top, and have them made from rare metals and silks? Are there hunting parties, sent out in secret, to hunt down and kill Devanu for their tails, which then fires retribution attacks, which the knights scratch their heads about? ("I have no idea why they would attack this village, they are normally docile in this area!")

If the Devanu have any form of lizard DNA in them, they might regrow the tails, in which maybe somewhere, Devanu are kept in cages, where their tails are harvested for the Nobility!

They are fake tails and are brightly coloured, pompous and odd. I think real Devanu tails would be a bit morbid... Tongue
