Odd is the word that comes to mind. I shall have to read through it. Funky sculpts too. Cool little find Brandlin.
I think the Devanu would run rings around them...then roll them down a hill for fun.

Actually, they look pretty cool without the eyestalks...
I do like finding fubarnii opponents: see Eureka Frogs, GW Skinks, Otherworld Kobolds, goblins, troglodytes, lizardmen and boglings, Reaper bloodstone gnomes, RBG and Heresy goblins, Zenit Orphans...
Some may be stretching it a bit, but I like lists.

I usually really love indie miniature lines but Im not to sure about these...If the world its set in is slightly comical then it could be interesting but th eye stalks just dont do it for me. I want the Devanu to eat them all >: D

Erm... Whilst I quite like these for their whimsy, you guys didn't think I was being serious about them being fubarnii opponents were you?
I was being sarcastic!!!!!

Sarcasm isn't always obvious on forums I like the models but was more than a tad dubious at your suggestion...

The models looking interesting, they grab my attention.
But I don't understand what is a miniatures boardgame? Is it going to be a board game on an actual board? or a miniature's game?
It's funny, if you read the designer's note, he wanted to call his game Twilight also, but Mike had already had that name for his game.

It might have a grid/board to play on i guess. I think Smog 1888 is going down the same route. If it does it might be worth getting. I am a big fan of grids on games

What Ben (Occulites creator) means is that it will be a board game that has a collectible miniatures component. Impact bought Ben's fantasy basketball game, Nuthin But Net, and that would be how it would develop. Our signature board game, Elfball, has over 250 different pewter miniatures for it despite a team being only 12 players. With D&D moving to a grid several years ago that approach has become more popular. In the US, board games are more popular than tabletop wargaming. I think World of Twilight could easily have grid based rules and then special scenario maps/mats.

Ah ok, I wonder how big or if the board will be modular. I'm really looking forward to what Ben is developing here. I've almost bought some warrior frogs from Eureka Miniatures after visiting his web site before. I checked out your elfball on BGG, look interesting. The Great stadium is way awesome!

While I do prefer Grid systems I would say that I wouldnt like WoT to be on one. Simply because it would limit Devanu and there movement shenanigans, special rules might become less interesting etc I think if a game gets a grid it has to be one of the very first things thought about
