That blog's bounced around the LAF a few times - always good to see, but ridiculous for terrain. When I inevitably get some building kits I'll be giving the beams wood grain with a rough wire brush and scriber - saves having to hand paint it all.

The kits are targeted at amateur scenery builders, so I'm sure Alan intended that as a compliment Sounds like a very good starting point - will be interesting to see how the plastic takes the detail. Jules is currently working on a watchtower, which is coming out quite neatly so far

I started reading this comic series recently called Mouseguard and this picture just reminded me of Fubarni and of Brandlin. This would make for a good Fubarni house, only need to change the windows to round ones.
